Amazon Now Allows Sellers to Trade Across all European stores

Under the new accelerator, Amazon sellers can instead log into ‘Seller Central’ and click to expand into any markets in which they are not yet selling.

Ecommerce giant Amazon has announced a new initiative which it said will enable sellers to expand their business to nine of its European stores.

The European Expansion Accelerator (EEA) has been designed to simplify sellers listing their products across all of Amazon’s European and UK stores and is an automated expansion platform that connects standalone Amazon tools without sellers having to navigate them themselves.

Under the new accelerator, Amazon sellers can instead log into ‘Seller Central’ and click to expand into any markets in which they are not yet selling.

In addition, businesses will be able to carry out account registration and set-up, translations, listing, shipping setup, product eligibility checks and catalogue customisations automatically in under three business days, according to Amazon, which recently hiked fulfilment fees for European sellers.

EEA works by taking selling partner’s preferences from their main store and replicating the same information across different stores.

Amazon, which has been actively cutting costs to improve efficiency, said that it will continue to offer sellers its VAT Services program (VISA), payment processing, credit card fraud protection, promotional features, reports and analytics.

For UK customers, when used alongside the European Fulfilment Network, this enables businesses to sell across the border easily without the requirement to register for VAT in the destination store.

“We’re pleased to be able to now offer this two-click step to sellers in Europe so that they can expand their businesses with Amazon,” said Amazon VP of Seller Services, Europe, Xavier Flamand.

European Expansion Accelerator is a solution our selling partners were missing for years. We’re pleased to be able to now offer this two-click step to sellers in Europe so that they can expand their businesses with Amazon,” he added.

The EEA is free and is available to all sellers who already sell in at least one of Amazon‘s European stores in France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, Poland, Sweden, Belgium and the UK.
