Gophr is partnering with Kamsons Pharmacy, offering backup in-house fleet support when the company needs cover.
The same-day delivery firm will facilitate multi-drop operations from stores to patient homes across the pharmacy’s 70-strong estate.
The move follows a trial period conducted around Kamsons’ Brighton store.
Gophr was selected for its experience in community relationships and pharmacy logistics, developed via its work with online pharmacy Phlo and Qured, an at-home rapid testing provider.
“Delivery is an increasingly vital service that community pharmacies can offer. Vulnerable patients are often unable to visit the pharmacy in-person to pick up essential medication,” Gophr head of strategic accounts Graham Smith said.
“Moreover, a rise in fuel cost means many people are using their cars less to access their local high street which may be some distance away. Gophr is perfectly placed to offer Kamsons Pharmacy patients an unrivaled delivery service.
“We pride ourselves on providing an exceptional doorstep experience and highly flexible delivery, building vital relationships with our client’s patients.
“This is so important when medical drop-offs where people rely on their local pharmacy. It is even more vital when offering cover service, ensuring that customers still get the best service possible.
Kamsons Pharmacy operations manager Paul Antenen added: “We are delighted to be working with Gophr, enabling us to deliver best-in-class service to our patients and communities across the UK.”
“Their tech-driven approach coupled with proven experience in delivering safely in the highly specialist and complex pharmacy space means that Gophr is a natural partner for us.”
