Office Depot is partnering with DoorDash to launch more than 1,000 Office Depot and OfficeMax stores on the delivery platform providing on-demand delivery.
It is the first business solutions retailer on the DoorDash marketplace, according to a press release.
The news comes on the heels of other retailers, including JCPenney, Bed Bath & Beyond and Ulta Beauty, to team up with DoorDash on same-day delivery.
“Over the last two years, the need by consumers to get anything in their neighborhood same-day dramatically accelerated. The pandemic pulled forward the future for retail, where changes that might have taken years happened in months. By empowering our retail partners to better and more quickly serve consumer’s needs for convenience through same-day delivery or pick-up, our partners can reach even more customers,” stated the press release.
“As we continue to expand into new categories to meet consumers’ need for convenience, we are thrilled to add Office Depot as our premier office and business and learning solutions retailer on the DoorDash platform,” Shanna Prevé, VP, business development at DoorDash, said in the release. “Whether working from home, the office or a hybrid of the two, customers can have peace of mind knowing that the office supplies and essentials they need are available for on-demand delivery at the tap of a button.”
