Asda, a Britain retailer, is teaming with Blue Yonder to modernize order management capabilities via Blue Yonder’s Luminate Commerce technology and is tapping Blue Yonder partner Bringg, last-mile delivery and fulfillment provider, for a seamless supply chain process.
The goal is to digitally transform the retailer’s end-to-end supply chain and retail operations.
Asda operates supercenters, superstores, and smaller supermarkets and runs petrol filling stations and Asda Living stores. The company employs more than 140,000 workers serving more than 16 million customers who shop in its stores and online weekly.
With Blue Yonder’s order management microservices, Asda will be able to:
- Process orders faster to improve the customer experience.
- Provide customers with real-time inventory visibility from the beginning of the shopping experience and pre-sourcing fulfillment options.
- Connect with the entire supply chain, considering the capacity to fulfill demand across any channel.
- Provide dynamic slotting options to the end customer for home deliveries and in-store pickup.
